What is the Read-A-Thon?
Our Read-A-Thon is a 25-day, school-wide challenge encouraging students to have fun reading. It is also our primary PTA fundraiser for the year! The proceeds will fund family programs, student assemblies, after-school club grants, staff appreciation, and more!

STEP 2: Share Your Student's Pledge Page

STEP 3: Track Reading Minutes September 12th - October 6th
Students will track minutes for 25 days, starting September 12th. Parents/guardians will need to enter the student’s minutes on their RallyUp account management page through October 6th. If you make it a habit to enter their minutes daily, friends and family can visit their profile page to see their progress each day!
STEP 4: Log All Minutes by October 9th
After the 25-day reading challenge is over, make sure you enter in your student’s minutes on their RallyUp Private Profile Management page by October 9th. This log is how we will determine the prize winners!

What Counts Towards Reading Minutes?
Any time your student spends reading during the 25-day challenge counts! This includes individual reading time and being read to by an adult. Books, manga, magazines, and audiobooks all count! Remember to log the minutes in the RallyUp website. If you log every day, your donors will be able to see your progress and cheer you on!

Our PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to positively impact, support, and enhance the overall learning environment for students at Max O' Vaughan Elementary. We work closely together with our principal and staff to identify programs that will enhance the learning experience for our students. We are fortunate to have an extremely generous and supportive community, which allows us to organize fun programs to our students make sure our school has the resources it needs.
All the money donated goes directly to programs and projects like our Red Ribbon Picnic, Pizzingo, End of Year Bash, Field Day, School Assemblies, Staff Appreciation and more!
What is Donor Tipping?
Our fundraiser platform, RallyUp, gives donors the opportunity to leave a "Donor Tip" when placing their donation. We have chosen RallyUp because it gives organizations like ours the ability to use their fundraising platform for FREE by giving donors the opportunity to leave an OPTIONAL tip during the checkout process. These tips go directly to RallyUp to cover the costs of operating their fundraising services while allowing organizations like ours to keep all of our funds raised.
