REFLECTIONS overview

PTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home.

 

Each year, the National PTA Reflections program offers local, regional, state and national opportunities for young artists in PreK through Grade 12 to be recognized for their creativity.

 

Grade Divisions:

Primary: Preschool – Grade 2

Intermediate: Grades 3-5

Middle School: Grades 6-8

Special Artist: All grades welcome

 

Students may participate in one or all of the available arts categories:

  


2023-24 REFLECTIONS CONTEST 

The National PTA Reflections program supports student success and serves as a valuable tool for building strong partnerships in our school community. 

 

Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2023-2024 theme: I AM HOPEFUL BECAUSE.

 
You must be a member of Vaughan PTA to enter. Please review the program rules and complete a Student Entry Form for each entry:

Entries should be turned into the Vaughan Library. Local judging will take place on November 1st and 2nd.

 

Review Criteria:

Interpretation:  How closely the piece relates to the theme, based on the artwork itself and the artist statement.

Creativity:  How creative and original the piece is in its conception of the theme and its presentation.

Technique:  The level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the arts area.

 

Submissions are considered for local, regional, state and national level awards and prizes. Learn more about state-level and national-level awards and events.
